About Me

Greetings! My name is Beckie Kareck and I currently live in Nashville, TN. I was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida, and when I saw my first-ever change of the seasons at age 18 while attending college in East Tennessee (Hello, Smoky Mountains!), I vowed I’d never return. Through a series of odd, but orchestrated events (isn’t that the way it always works?), the Lord led me to move to the middle Tennessee area. And this is where God “grew me up” and shaped me into the woman I’m still becoming today. And His gift to me? Well, Nashville is where I met my wonderful husband, John.

John is a transmission technician and would you believe that we met over some car troubles I was having? I mean, come on – my Daddy was 800+ miles away and I hardly knew anyone here in town! I found out thru someone at church that he was a trustworthy mechanic and out of sheer desperation, I approached him for help. Well, I did notice that he was sort of gorgeous, too – hee, hee! The running joke between us is that when he saw the tool box in the trunk of my car, he just knew he couldn’t let me slip by! Anyway, 10 years of marriage later and we have two amazing sons – Josiah is 8 years old and Colton is 4.

Josiah is the “welcome wagon” at my stamping events – he greets all the ladies at the front door, takes their purses and coats and shows them where they may be seated. He also enjoys setting out the grid paper, making the name tags, and putting labels on all of my SU! literature. Colton is our “love boy”. All of my customers love coming to our home because they know they’ll get a huge hug and kiss from Colton. And for those ladies who allow him to climb up in their lap while they are stamping their projects, they’ll get some extra snuggle time from “our little monkey” and will probably hear, “I love you, Stamp Lady.” What joy they both bring to us each day – we are truly blessed beyond measure

My hobby, naturally, is stamping!  But my dear husband John’s hobby is serving our country.  Right at the time 9/11 occurred, John joined the Navy Reserves. He is a SeaBee and has already served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. And in the fall of 2008, he reached his huge goal of becoming a Navy Chief. He comes alive when he talks about his Naval unit and the “brothers” who have come into his life these past 8 years.  We are so proud of him and all that he does to protect our freedom.

Well, back to stamping!  I’ve been fortunate enough to earn 5 SU! incentive trips! I have been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for 9 years now. I signed up while pregnant with our first son, since I knew I was leaving my career and would go nuts sitting at home all the time! I truly just wanted to get out of the house a bit and help expedite those baby blues – I never had any intention of growing a business! But the Lord had another plan, and I am so thankful – what a journey it has been! All these years later, I am in the top 30 demonstrators of the entire company (there are over 50,000 of us!)! I have been a SAHM for our boys from day one and SU! has allowed me to bless our family with extra income – something we really needed when John was deployed to Iraq in 2004-05. My degree is in Broadcasting and Journalism and I used to work for the CBS affiliate in Tampa, FL. If you had told me that my full-time career would be selling wood and rubber, I would have said you were NUTS!

But I cannot imagine life any other way. My stampin’ family is so huge and no matter where I go, I have dear friends because of this fun and exciting hobby! Who could ask for more? I’d love to share more of my Stampin’ Up! story with you and show you how this amazing company can bless YOUR life in so many ways. Feel free to contact me today. Thank you for taking the time to get acquainted with me and “my boys”. Now, I’d love to hear all about YOU!
