Amaze a special friend or that precious child in your life with this Easter season surprise:  a hidden message!  Instead of opening from the side or top, this hinged card splits apart to reveal your message.

To make this project:

1. Stamp your hidden message on the background card (base). We used a standard card size: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".
2. To create the top half of the hinged front, tie a piece of Regal Rose 5/8” grosgrain ribbon around the bottom portion of So Saffron textured card stock (4-1/2" x 3"). Stamp and watercolor the image on Whisper White card stock and layer on Regal Rose card stock. Adhere the image to the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals, extending the image about 1/2" below the bottom of the So Saffron card stock.
3. To create the bottom half of the hinged front, punch a border along the top of the Certainly Celery textured card stock (4-1/4" x 3") using the Scallop Edge punch.
4. To create the hinged front, place the scallop edge of the Certainly Celery card stock over the bottom of the So Saffron card stock, overlapping by about 1/2". Punch a hole through both layers of card stock on the left side using the 1/16" Circle punch. Attach Certainly Celery brad through hole.
5. Adhere the bottom and sides of the Certainly Celery card stock to the Kraft card stock. Don’t adhere the So Saffron card stock or the card won’t move. Tuck the So Saffron card stock beneath the scallop edge of the card stock.
6. To reveal your message, slide the So Saffron card up and to the left.
